GET TO KNOW ME

Hey! I'm Ashleigh!

Hey, I’m Ashleigh. Born and raised in England, but living in Middle Tennessee for nearly a decade now. I’ve always been drawn to photography, capturing the world around me in small, meaningful ways. But everything changed when I started photographing live theater at the Center for the Arts in Murfreesboro in 2016. From that moment, I was hooked on storytelling and capturing the moments that matter most.

Now, I'm the lead photographer for Exchange Media Group and Good News Magazines where I coach freelance photographers and lead the photography production for the franchise. I get to do what I love every single day (pinch me!) - documenting real moments and telling the kind of stories that deserve to be remembered.

My work spans theater, music, nature, portraiture, editorial, events, and headshots, always with a focus on bold, vivid storytelling. People often tell me I have a knack for capturing the best moments.

I believe photographs are one of the greatest gifts and greatest resources. I have two big 'whys'.

My first 'WHY': I believe photographs can and, do change the world. The ultimate dream would be to use my photography for wildlife and nature conservation efforts.

Secondly, life moves fast, things change in an instant, and photography ensures that moments in time are frozen - forever unchanged. When my mother passed away in 2020, I was already in love with photography, but during that time (and still to this day), my most treasured possessions are the photographs of her. That was when I truly knew - this is what I’m meant to do. It is an honor to give others that same gift: the ability to hold onto a moment, a feeling, a piece of time that might otherwise be lost.

Take a look around, explore my portfolio, follow along on Instagram, or reach out - I’d love to help tell your story through my lens.

"Being in front of a camera can feel intimidating! My goal is always to create a comfortable, relaxed space so your true self shines through."

"The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do."
